Celebrating Christmas with a New Feline Family Member: Embrace the Joy and Responsibility

Dear Friends and Supporters of Garlic City Kitty Rescue,

Merry Christmas! As the holiday season brings joy and warmth, we at Garlic City Kitty Rescue want to share the magic of adding a new furry member to your family. This festive season, let’s remember that adopting a pet is not just for Christmas but a lifelong commitment to love and care.

The Special Charm of Black Cats

This Christmas, we invite you to consider opening your hearts to a group of often overlooked yet incredibly special felines - black cats. Despite the myths, black cats are just as loving and beautiful as their colorful counterparts. With their alluring eyes and sleek fur, they bring a unique charm to any home. Did you know that in some cultures, black cats are considered lucky and a symbol of good fortune?

Adopting During the Holidays

If you’re considering adding a pet to your family this Christmas, remember that it’s a commitment that lasts for the lifetime of the pet. Our cats are not just gifts; they are new family members who need love, care, and attention for years to come. We encourage potential adopters to think long-term and consider how a cat will fit into your life beyond the holiday season.

Adoption Process

Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best match between our kitties and their new families. It includes:

        1.      Filling out an online application.

        2.      A phone screening.

        3.      Meeting the cat/kitten.

        4.      Signing the adoption contract.

        5.      Paying the adoption fee.

        6.      Welcoming your new furry friend into your home.

How to Support Us

Not ready to adopt? You can still support our mission in various ways:

        •      Volunteer: Join our team to help with socialization, shelter care, or rescue operations.

        •      Donate: Financial contributions are always needed and greatly appreciated.

        •      Sponsor a Cat: Help cover the costs for a specific kitty in our care.

As we celebrate this season of giving, let’s spread the love to our feline friends. Whether you choose to adopt, donate, or volunteer, your support makes a difference in the lives of many cats and kittens.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you’ll consider making a furry friend part of your celebration!

Warm wishes,

Julie & the Garlic City Kitty Rescue Team
