Water, Please! A Word from Mr. Whiskers

Look, I’m not usually one to beg, but today I’ll make an exception—because it’s hot out here. I mean really hot. The kind of hot that makes your paws sizzle on the sidewalk and your whiskers wilt.

If you’ve got a yard, porch, stoop, or even just a shady corner, I’m asking you—no, pleading with you—to leave out some fresh water for us outdoor creatures. Not just for me and my feline friends, but for the birds, the bees, the squirrels, the skunks (yes, even them), and every other critter who calls your neighborhood home.

One bowl. One refill a day. That’s all it takes to make a big difference.

We’re not picky, but we do notice when the water’s been sitting too long. Algae and bugs? No thanks. A clean dish with cool, fresh water? Heaven.

And if you happen to spot a scruffy cat sipping from the dish you set out—maybe even me—just know you’ve done a good thing. You’ve offered a lifeline. On the hottest days, that’s everything.
